Wisdom Keepers
Pastor Jason will share his insights on hospice care—a topic close to his heart and one in which he has extensive experience. This is a wonderful opportunity to learn about the compassionate support hospice provides during life’s most tender moments. Pastor Jason’s deep knowledge and personal perspective will offer wisdom, comfort, and understanding for anyone curious about this important service. The Handmaid’s Tale by Margaret Atwood is the book for our March meeting. These modern classic challenges readers to consider power, control, and resistance in a chilling vision of the future. Whether it’s your first time reading it or a return visit, all are welcome for discussion.
Pancake Breakfast
Start Easter morning with good food and great company! Join us before worship for a delicious pancake breakfast filled with fellowship, laughter, and a whole lot of joy. All proceeds from the breakfast will support our July mission trip to Spirit Lake, helping our team serve and grow while sharing God’s love beyond our walls.
Come hungry, bring your family and friends, and help us turn pancakes into purpose as we celebrate the hope of Easter together.
Book Club
April is Poetry Month, and instead of a single book, we’re inviting everyone to bring poetry they love. That might be a favorite poem, a beloved poet, song lyrics, spoken word, or even poetry you enjoy mainly for the artwork and visuals that accompany it. No expertise required — just curiosity and appreciation. Come listen, share, and celebrate the beauty of words.
Baking Day
Join us for a festive and collaborative Baking Day we prepare for the upcoming Cookie Walk! This special event brings together volunteers from both campuses to share in the joy of baking, packing cookie boxes, and stocking freezers with delicious treats.
Chili Cook Off
Whether you’re a seasoned chef or simply a chili lover, this is your chance to showcase your best recipe or sample some incredible creations. Come for the food, stay for the community spirit—and help make a difference! All proceeds from this event will support our 2026 Mission Trip, so every bite brings us closer to our goal. Got a story behind your recipe? Add a note to share with everyone. This is always a heartwarming time of food, friendship, and festive fun—don’t miss it!
United Women of Faith

Caroling
Celebrate the joy of Advent by sharing the music of the season with those who need it most! We’ll gather at the Elgin campus and carpool to visit homebound friends and care facilities—spreading cheer with classic carols. We’ll sing for about 2–3 hours, and if enough people join, we’ll split into two groups for even more impact!

Bring one (or a few) of your favorite children’s books to share — whether it’s a timeless classic, a cherished Christmas story, or a new find you love for its message, illustrations, or the memories it brings.

Crop Walk
CropWalk is a non-profit initiative which unites communities to combat hunger and poverty worldwide. Participants walk together, raising funds for sustainable farming projects, education, and emergency assistance. Empowering lives through shared steps, CropWalk fosters hope and solidarity, sowing seeds of lasting impact in the fight against food insecurity.
Registration opens at 1:30pm; walk begins at 2pm.
